Sandstorm

Tashkent’s loudest band is back with a new album. Sandstorm, the trio led by singer and guitarist Eldor Qahhorov, present “Kyzylkum” — heavy riffs, desert blues and Uzbek melodies played through a wall of amplifiers.

The whole album is played live for the first time, alongside the songs that made the band’s name in the clubs of Tashkent and Samarkand. Orange haze, strobes and a sound system tuned for rock turn the Palace into a club for one night.

The concert runs about two hours without an intermission.
